So we decided to add skylights to the covered patio to take advantage of the light that the covered patio would typically be blocking from the family room, which is what the covered patio's attached to.

I think it's really done a phenomenal job of bringing the light into the space.

You get the benefits of a covered patio, but you feel like you've got the sun coming in from above.

And I think it just creates a much more ambient experience, and it's just a-- it's a beautiful thing.
